Q. You have worked really hard this year with SHINee’s activities as the start. What are your thoughts on making a solo comeback?
T. It doesn’t feel real. Not only there is this solo album following SHINee’s activities, even though this comeback doesn’t feel real to me, seeing that I have prepared lots of things such as concert, contents, I am happy that I am able to meet my fans often.
Q. If you were to introduce your title song ‘Advice’? You took on the challenge on ‘Singing Rap’ of rapping as if you are singing, how was it?
T. I think of it as a song that I am able to meet a unique character of mine. Even though it was tough because my mouth couldn’t move quickly when I was recording for the singing rap, I think I am able to show a new side of me.
Q. If you were to choose a choreography point of your title song ‘Advice’?
T. I think it would be good if everyone could watch the stage and choose the choreography point themselves. (laughs) I will be doing music show stages from the 20th onwards too so please look forward to it.
Q. What kind of concept do you want to show in this album?
T. I wanted to try things that I wasn’t able to try out till now. Hair extensions, accessories etc. I worked hard in giving off the feeling of being experimental from the styling.
Q. You worked with Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon for your b-side track ‘If I could tell you,’ how was it?
T. The company was the one who first suggested that it would be nice if I sing it with Taeyeon sunbaenim, I also wanted to do it with her. I am very grateful that sunbaenim gladly participated in this and I hope lots of people will listen to it.
Q. If you were to pick Taemin’s ‘One Pick’ among the b-side tracks?
T. I will recommend the 4th track ‘Strings.’ I think that I sang it well myself too. (Laughs)
Q. If you were to express this album with one keyword, it would be? What kind of comments would you like to hear?
T. Last album (before enlistment). Rather than me wanting to listen to a particular kind of comment, I want to continue to make albums that I can be more satisfied with myself.
Q. Lastly, a word to your fans.
T. I hope that this album can be, at the very least, a form of consolation to all my fans during the period of my hiatus. Please listen to ‘Advice’ a lot!
